Taking to Twitter, Niantic have divulged one of the things we can expect to see amended when the next update comes out and no it’s not a better tracking function, but fixing a bug that sees throw accuracy increasing the odds for wild Pokémon to get away from you.
Trainers, a new bug affecting throw accuracy increases the odds of escape and omits the XP bonus. We are working on a fix, stay tuned…

For clarity, we’re not saying the tracking fix won’t be included in the next update, but are simply pointing out that this (the above tweet regarding the bug) seems to be the priority as far as this update is concerned. So a tacking fix is definitely on its way, just don’t raise your hopes too much on the off chance there is no tracking fix when the very next update rolls out.
