*UPDATE (04/08/16): Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is now available for pre-order on amazon.ca and listed to release on the 20th of September.
All seems to be quiet on the WayForward front, so GameFly have stepped fourth once more to reveal more details regarding the retail version of Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse for North America and Europe on 3DS.
Unlike Europe where, where according to amazon.es, the listing for the game and its September 16th release remains unchanged, GameFly has updated their listing for the NA release, causing the game to go from releasing on the 20th to the 27th of September. Still it update came with more than just a delay, but also the cover reveal for the NA version, which confirms Rising Star Games as the publisher (and not Maximum Games) and you can see that very box art below:
Despite being as credible as GameFly are, especially when it comes to leaking game information, this all did start out as a rumour, one that WayForward have not yet confirmed or denied, but the evidence is continuing to build, so we should be hearing from the company sometime in the near future.
