Well if you’ve been waiting to fill in the space of mystery costume #130, you won’t have that much longer to wait as a new costume has made itself known thanks to the release of the latest video put out by Nintendo on YouTube.
The new arrival is Starfy, the protagonist of the platform game series, The Legendary Starfy, (or Densetsu no Starfy as it is known in Japan.) The first game in the series was original due for release in 2000 on the Game Boy Color but was cancelled and then eventually released in 2002 on the Game Boy Advance. In the seven years that followed, The Legendary Starfy spawned four sequels, with the final installment releasing in both Japan and America, which was the first time a game from the series was released outside Nintendo’s home country.
As a game part of the Mario gaming universe, a universe that has been filled with stars, a costume of a star has been missing for quite some time, but Starfy corrects all of that and you can catch his character trailer below:
Starfy’s event course is due for arrival in the afternoon of March 31st (1st of April for Europe and Japan,) so if you are looking to get it, now you know. Be sure to let us know in the comments if you approve of the new character, or just despise it in general.
