We’ve already covered Tri Force Heroes sales and with the Nintendo Wii U’s second Zelda adventure remake, due out next month, we’re turning out attention to the Wind Waker HD.

Revealed by Nintendo, the 2013 remake has made a grand total of 1.69 million sales which sadly does make it the worst-selling remake, especially since the likes of Ocarina of Time 3D, according to global sales data compiled on the 16th of January, received 3.97 million sales, and Majora’s Mask 3D having obtained a little over 2 million sales. But in all fairness, both 3D remakes were released on Nintendo’s hand-held, which has had over 50 million sales, whereas the Wii U has only had over 12.6 million.

It is a sad fact that such a brilliant game did receive the number of sales it did, when it was deserving of far more, but it is what it is, but with Twilight Princess HD on its way, and Zelda U after that, the question becomes will Twilight Princess HD do any better, or will it find itself in Wind Waker’s wake, following in its very footsteps and unable to pass 2 million sales?
