Nintendo | Raises Full-Year Forecasts After Strong First-Half Results

Hardware momentum from the Switch 2 drives an upward revision to sales, profits, and dividends.

Nintendo released its first-half (April–September 2026) financial results in Japan on November 5, 2026 after the Tokyo market close. Net sales more than doubled year-on-year to approximately ¥1.100 trillion, while ordinary profit rose 60.5% to ¥236.0 billion and net profit rose 83% to ¥198.9 billion. The results were driven by strong Switch 2 hardware sales (10.4 million units by the end of September) and software, including titles from the Mario Kart and Donkey Kong series.

The company raised its full-year (fiscal year ending March 2027) guidance: net sales from ¥1.900 trillion to ¥2.250 trillion, ordinary profit from ¥380 billion to ¥460 billion, and net profit from ¥300 billion to ¥350 billion. The annual dividend forecast was increased from ¥129 to ¥181 per share. Nintendo Switch 2 unit sales forecast for the fiscal year was also raised (reports indicate to 19 million units from a previous 15–16.5 million range).

These results and revisions were published on November 5, 2026. They reflect continued hardware demand following the Nintendo Switch 2 launch earlier in 2025 and a solid software lineup, including today’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time release and upcoming titles such as Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy.
