The May MCM Comic Con London 2025 is in full swing this weekend (May 23-25), and one of the special guests at the event is Doctor Who/Harry Potter/Good Omens Star David Tennant. Now, I know we usually only cover video game news and topics mainly centred around Nintendo. However, Miketendo64 has been in attendance to a number of MCM Comic Cons over the years as press to cover its many exciting panels as well as try out some of the latest video games that were exhibited there. Safe to say, we have somewhat of a kinship with the event, and while we couldn’t be at the event in person this year, it is only fair for us to cover what was there.
Getting back on track, David Tennant appeared on the main stage and on some of the smaller stages due to his incredible popularity and dedicated fans to talk about his career and the opportunities he had.

For the most part, the crowd listened to every word Tennant had to say and even had some questions of their own for the actor. One question, for example, was “regardless of likelihood, gender or age, which superhero he’d most like to play?”
Tennant: “I think in terms of supervillains, I got the best one with Kilgrave. In terms of superheroes, I did slightly have my eye on Reed Richards, and unfortunately, it looks like they’ve gone in a different direction,” Tennant answered with a smile. “Although if it has to be someone I’m very happy for it to be Pedro Pascal.”

When it came to the topic on Doctor Who, one fan shared a statistic that most people’s favourite Doctor is the one from when they were ten years old. To which Tennant replied:
Tennant: “Doctor Who is the kind of show that imprints on you as a child,” Tennant replied, “and if it gets its hooks into you like it did to me, it doesn’t really let go. There’s something about that being caught up in the magic of those stories when it first grabs you, and when it takes you on that journey through time and space, it does live with you forever.”
Another Doctor Who related question was which eras would he have liked to visit in the Tardis but never got the opportunity to.
Tennant: “Well, we got to go to Shakespeare’s Globe, which was very exciting, I always wanted to do that. The only one I wanted to go back to was The Cavern and see The Beatles when they were brand new, but they’ve sort of done that, that was the box that got ticked after I’d left. Listen, there’s loads of opportunities there, and that’s one of the joys of this show is that it’s got of stories left to tell.”
Another question that received a rather cryptic answer was what character Tennant would like to play from a show or series that he enjoys.
Tennant: “You mean that I haven’t done yet? Oh well there is, but I can’t… just in case it happens,” he said. “I don’t want to [say]… there’s something we’re working on right now that hopefully will come to fruition and will answer your question. But it’s too soon to say. So hopefully I’ll have an answer to your question. I just can’t give it to you now. But in about… maybe in about six months, a year’s time if everything were to go to plan, there may be a wee announcement.”
Well, that is just but a teaser of what was said at MCM Comic Con London 2025, but if you would like to catch one of David Tennant’s panels, it is available to watch on YouTube.
Thank you for reading, and until next time, Keep On Gaming!
