Nintendo Switch 2 Experience

Want to know what the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience was like? I spoke with those fortunate enough to attend the event that was held in numerous cities across the globe. Our good friends over at Rapid Reviews UK were kind enough to not only share their thoughts with us, but also allow us to join them for the ride. Our Editor-in-Chief, Jack, joined RRUK’s Pete Beckett to video document the event and play some brand new Nintendo Switch 2 games at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience London!

Since the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 and its impending launch on June 5th, Nintendo have been ramping up the promotion of the system. It has streamed dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Directs and invited select members of the Nintendo Gaming community to attend the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience. This event would allow attendees to play the likes of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, Civilization VII, Drag X Drive, and Street Fighter 6.

Game & Chat!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am oh, so jelly that I could not attend the event myself. That said, I am ecstatic that at least a very good friend of mine and my brother were able to go and try out the Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of launch. I recently spoke at length with Pete to hear his thoughts on the console and its games. We discussed which games he liked best and which ones he didn’t. We even discussed how some games run just as well as their PS4 counterparts.

If you would like to hear what Pete had to say to me, you can find it in our latest Game & Chat Lite episode. It is accompanied with video footage of the event itself and over the shoulder gameplay of some of the games available to play at the event (video is embedded below).

Truth be said (and quite understandable too), Pete had a lot to say about the Nintendo Switch 2. So much so, that you can read his full thoughts over on the Rapid Reviews UK website. You can also watch the video version video version on their YouTube channel. Please, definitely go and check them out in your preferred format of choice.

Our Editor’s Thoughts About The Nintendo Switch 2 Experience

As for Miketendo64’s own, Jack Longman, he has his own thoughts on the system. He was also fortunate to play a number of games at the event. Here are just a few words from him:

“What can I say about the Nintendo Switch 2 that I have not previously stated? Well, for starters, I’ve held one in my hands, and it felt good. I was primarily invited to be a camera operator for the event. It was my task to take plenty of photos and videos of the console and the event. That said though, I did get to play a few titles myself. As for the rest, well, I got to stand there and watch someone else play. It didn’t bother me though. I was too mesmerized by how beautiful various games looked and ran on the system.”
