Trouble in paradise?
Released on December 2, 2024 for Android and iOS devices, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is a paid offline version of the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp application, which consumers could enjoy for free these last seven years. Whilst the new release offers some new features and older mechanics reworked, something of interest has popped.
When reading through the game’s product description on the app store, Play Store and even the likes of Nintendo’s US site, while there is mention of how seasonal events will be implemented, the UK page for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete states new items will only be added to the game until September 2025. The exact wording and relevant paragraph can be seen here:
* Events, Fortune Cookies and limited-time items from the free-to-start version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be available on a four-year cycle, along with new events and Fortune Cookies. New items will also be added until September 2025.

While it can be seen as a small positive that Nintendo aim to support Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete for the next nine months, it does make one wonder what could come of the app after September 2025 and why this wording is on the Nintendo UK and Nintendo Spain listings for the game? Especially when those who have opted to purchase the Complete version and have transferred their save data over to it, are being warned if they delete the Complete version of the app, it will delete their save data in the process.
For those who have’t picked up Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete just yet, until January 31, 2025, it will only cost you $9.99 / £8.99, whereas purchasing the app after the mentioned date, will cost you $19.99 / £17.99.
