Miketendo64 Presents The New Game & Chat Podcast – Available On YouTube

Good day to you all! It’s Mike here from Miketendo64 and I have a bit of an announcement for you all. Jack and I have been racking our brains lately with ways of coming up with new and unique content for our dedicated followers. With the current state of written word in public media ever circling the drain and some of the biggest known outlets closing their doors after decades of service, we have to strive even harder to keep a foothold in the ever changing environment of the internet and how content is consumed.

Independent News outlets are vanishing into obscurity, clickbait articles are constantly on the rise and the juggernauts sitting at the top of the SEO food chain are starving smaller outlets and keeping them low down on the pages of search engines. We ourselves have taken quite the hit and recent months, visitor numbers to our website have been up and down like a yo yo. I can understand that though, its tough to stay relevant in a digital age that moves faster than you can type and by the type we can post anything, it is already old news and in the case of reviews, you have probably read plenty alread from all of the big name sites who were fortunate to get codes early from publishers.

However, that is not what I want to talk about because what I actually want to say is that we have launched a brand new podcast of sorts on YouTube. The Podcast is called Game & Chat and we will be inviting guests on to talk and play some of their favourite multiplayer games whilst learning all about them and why they enjoy playing these games. We will also be talking about current news and developments in the gaming industry but the core focus is to have fun and hope you will have fun listening to us and watching us play some video games.

Our first episode is live, and can be viewed in the embedded video below. In this episode, Jack and I play Animal Crossing: Horizons and talk about Nintendo’s recent financial results like the Switch reaching 143.42 million units sold worldwide, How games like Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door have fared in terms of sales and plenty more.

We also plan to release an audio only version on Spotify as well and have already lined up a couple of guests which we will keep secret for now but shall reveal soon. Our plan is to publish a new episode every monday and shall share them here on the website as well as on our official X account.
