The UK’s most important video game event, EGX, which is held in London every, will be giving Banjo-Kazooie fans something extra special to look forward to this October. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic bear and bird duo from RARE, a special panel will be hosted at the event on Saturday 14th of October at 2pm, and boasts a lineup of some of the brilliant minds that worked on the original game.
Three of the game’s developers have been listed to include Steve Mayles, Chris Sutherland, and Grant Kirkhope. We could possibly see other Rare Alumni giants in attendance who may come to EGX to reunite with some of their old colleagues much like David Wise and Kev Bayliss did last year for the 25th anniversary GoldenEye 007 panel that was also held at EGX.
This announcement for the Banjo-Kazooie 25th anniversary panel was shared via EGX’s social media channels and was also included in an email that was sent to those subscribed to the the EGX newsletter. The full announcement is as follows:

We always planned to go to EGX this year anyway but now we have an even bigger reason to go! As long time fans of the Banjo-Kazooie games, it would be the highest honour to be able to see the people that made such an iconic and memorable game series and be able to thank them for the many happy childhood memories we had growing up.
Will you be attending EGX this year, too? Àre you all the more excited to attend after hearing this incredible news? Please let us know in the comments.
Special Thanks to Barry Dunne of Impact Game Station for the news tip.
