While tournaments and competitions are the main focus of Pokémon EUIC 2023, it doesn’t mean that’s all there is too it for there is also side quests and merchandise. Yes, there is a Pokémon Center selling all kinds of official merchandise, but you also had additional stalls selling their own Pokémon wares ranging from the TCG and accessories, but also plushies and lots of them.
From miniature Squirtles to oversized Pikachu’s, there were plenty of plushies of all varieties for consumers to enjoy and just in case you wanted a photo opportunity with plushies that weren’t just confined to stalls, there was also the Wall of Plush?
The Wall of Plush? Yes, the Wall of Plush. A display case full of an assortment of Pokémon plushies, bundled together, so the attendees of Pokémon EUIC 2023 could stand in front of it and take photos of one another. I myself did not indulge in any selfies with the Wall of Plush, but there were also photo opportunities available with people dressed up as Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly in all their supersize glory.
The material of their costumes felt soft to the touch and although you’ll find no photo of me with the colorful starters, it doesn’t mean I didn’t take plenty of photos. Therefore, without any further ado, it is my pleasure to share with you all of the plush-based goodness the Pokémon EUIC 2023 had to offer:
In 2015, when rumours of the NX and Zelda U were everywhere, my brother and I started Miketendo64 and we've been running it ever since. As the Editor-in-Chief, I have attended video gaming events in three different countries, been to preview events, and penned more than 4,000 articles to date, ranging from news, to features, reviews, interviews and guides. I love gaming and I love all things Nintendo. I also love Networking, so don't be afaid to reach out.
