Good things come to those who wait and if you’re a loving fan of the Mario + Rabbids series, the wait has surely been worth it for pure brilliance has arrived. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope has at long last released on the Nintendo Switch and it is everything we hoped a sequel would be.
The story is compelling, Rabbids can now talk and life in the Mushroom Kingdom goes on, despite the fact Rabbids are now living in it and are still as crazy as ever. The game is also a pure delight to play, full of more joy than a Cadburys chocolate bar and the graphics, oh the graphics, they’re easily the best thing about the whole game.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is absolutely gorgeous. The cinematic cutscenes are flawless and every piece of art displayed is a masterpiece. Still, you don’t need me to gush over the game, not when Mike has done a fantastic job doing that in our review of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, but I do hope you’ll stick around long enough with me as I showcase plenty of gameplay footage all related to the first area of the game, Beacon Beach.
