Super Rare Mixtape Vol. 2

For those of you who bought and enjoyed the first volume of the Super Rare Mixtape, you will be pleased to know that the Super Rare Mixtape Vol. 2 will be available to pre-order next week. Just like the previous volume, Vol 2 will have music tracks from 30 awesome indie games and six demos available to play, all cleverly packed on a USB drive in the form of a cassette.

Pre-orders will go live on the Super Rare Games website on February 24th at 6pm GMT (10am PT/1pm ET), and will be limited to 2,000 copies.

To say it better, Ryan Brown himself shared a few words about the mixtape in the official press release, which you can check out below.

Ryan from Super Rare Games here!

I’m incredibly proud to announce the Super Rare Mixtape Vol. 2 – a curated physical compilation of games from the grassroots indie game scene.

Following on from the massive success of our first volume, which sold out in 5 hours last August, I’ve compiled 30 more games + 6 demos that deserve your attention!

Only 2,000 copies will be available for sale for Windows PC, which will go live on February 24th at 6pm GMT (10am PT/1pm ET) – available worldwide exclusively at–Y

Super Rare Mixtape features

📼 30 games – a personally curated selection of 30 games from small indie developers, chosen for maximum variety of genres and art styles

Including puzzle-platformers, a forgotten 90s shmup, a classic point-and-click with full voice acting, a PS1-style horror platformer, an RSCPA funded farming sim, a wholesome 3D adventure, a claymation style puzzler, and many, many more. Mixtapes are showcases of pure originality and creativity, giving indies the attention and preservation they deserve

💻 6 demos – harking back to the golden days of PS1/PS2 demo discs, we’ve included a handful of demos for exciting upcoming commercial indie games that you may or may not have heard of

💻 2,000 copies* – to check if there is an audience for this uniquely new idea, only 2,000 copies will ever be available. Vol. 1 sold out in 5 hours last August, which we’re hoping wasn’t a fluke! Stock is here now and ready to ship.
