Nintendo UK has revealed the online play session times for the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test. There are five time slots over the weekend (Sat 19 & Sun 20) and each session will last approximately 45 minutes. In order to participate in the Online Play Test, you will need a Nintendo Switch Console, an internet connection, a Nintendo account, and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you have all of the above, you can redeem a download code for the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test via My Nintendo.
During the online play test, you will be able to play any of the three games that are available to play: Bowling, Chambara, and Tennis. You will only be able to play against random players and will not be able to set up friend matches.

If you encounter any issues, please note that Customer Support will not be offered and will not respond to individual inquiries related to these issues.
- The Online Play Test may be terminated without notice. Session times may also be shortened or extended without prior notice.
- Save data from the Online Play Test cannot be carried over to the full game.
- The Online Play Test software represents a game still in development and is subject to change.
- Participants are forbidden from sharing information about the Online Play Test publicly, including the sharing of screenshots or video footage from the game on social media.
When is it happening?
There will be five sessions in total, each one lasting 45 minutes:
Saturday 19 February
- 03:00 – 03:45 (UK time) / 04:00 – 04:45 (CET)
- 11:00 – 11:45 (UK time) / 12:00 – 12:45 (CET)
- 19:00 – 19:45 (UK time) / 20:00 – 20:45 (CET)
Sunday 20 February
- 03:00 – 03:45 (UK time) / 04:00 – 04:45 (CET)
- 11:00 – 11:45 (UK time) / 12:00 – 12:45 (CET)
What sports will be available?
You’ll be able to play online matches of Bowling, Tennis and Chambara against random players. You will not be able to initiate matches against friends who are also taking part in the Online Play Test.
What do I need to participate?
- A Nintendo Switch console*
- A Nintendo Account

- An active Nintendo Switch Online membership
*Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test is not compatible with Nintendo Switch Lite.
How do I get involved?
- Sign in to your Nintendo Account.
- Select the “Redeem” button above and redeem the My Nintendo reward to receive a download code for the Nintendo Switch Sports Online Play Test software. No points will be required to redeem the reward.

- Launch the software during the play times listed above to join the test.
The reward code expires on 20 February 2022 at 11:45 (UK time) / 12:45 (CET).
