So, because I’d have to create an entirely new game and invest around 12 hours to find them all again, what I have been able to do, is return to each slate location and took some new screenshots. You will not see the slate (a red object with a beam of light above it) in the pictures, we’ll be sharing below, but between the pictures and the information provided, you should easily be able to leave here knowing exactly where each slate is:
Lasaria Region Slates:
Slate #1:(Indigo Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Porton Village
How to find it: Although it is on a small raised area, the slate can be seen clear as day. You just need to proceed to the area pictured below and you should be able to see it straight away.
Slate #2:(Dawning Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Secluded Boneway
How to find it: Skip travel to Secluded Boneway and proceed to the area marked on the picture below. You can’t miss it.
Slate #3:(Crimson Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Feltley Village
How to find it: Skip travel to Feltley Village and it should be in a grassy area to your left near trees.
Slate #4:(Rusty Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Yanchik Harbor
How to find it: Skip travel to Yanchik Harbor, it should be in an open cabin in front of you.
Aletta Region Slates:
Slate #5:(Purple Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Aletta: Militia Garrison
How to find it: Feel free to Skip travel to either Aletta Harbor or Aletta: Militia Garrison and make your way up to Addam’s house. Then, by looking at the image below, head to the marked spot and you will find the slate in that immediate area.
Slate #6:(Chestnut Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Tirkin Cliff Colony
How to find it: Skip Travel to Tirkin Cliff Colony, proceed down the path, to where you will find a ladder, Head down it and follow the path left. You will soon find an area where Tirkin are camped around a fire. The slate can be found here.
Slate #7:(Cinnabar Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Cavern of the Seal
How to find it: If you’ve already found Cavern of the Seal, there’s a good chance you have got the slate already, since it’s in the immediate vicinity outside the cavern but if you haven’t got it, simply head to the area marked below:
Slate #8:(Hollyhock Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Lett Bridge
How to find it: Skip Travel to Lett Bridge, jump into Lake Sarleigh below and head over to the small island with a geyser. (You might need to raise the water level to the area first.)
With Aegaeon’s Command Water Level 3, the geyser will hurl you towards a small cave opening and upon following it, not only will you discover a Secret Area / Viewpoint, but you’ll also find a slate as well.
Slate #9:(Scarlet Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Lett Bridge
How to find it: This time when you Skip Travel to Lett Bridge, stay on the high ground and make your way over to the area marked on the map below. The slate itself should be easily noticeable.
Slate #10:(Navy-Blue Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Hyber Village
How to find it: Once you Skip Travel to Hyber Village, head towards Jin’s old house and you’ll the slate in the near vicinity.
Dannagh Region Slates:
Slate #11:(Peach Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Loftin Nature Preserve
How to find it: Skip travel to Loftin Nature Preserve and proceed south. Follow the stairs and turn right and you should see it in front of you.
Slate #12:(Cherry Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Loftin Nature Preserve
How to find it: Skip travel to Loftin Nature Preserve and head north to Lake Wynn. There will be a geyser where you can use a field skill. With Aegaeon’s Command Water Level 2, you will be blasted upwards and land in on a raised area called Verdant Fairylands. Once there, proceed to the area where the Tirkin are gathered and you should see it amongst them in the area you see pictured below:
Auresco, Royal Capital Slates:
Slate #13:(Dark-Grey Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Aureus Palace
How to find it: Skip travel to Aureus Palace and head south toward Sachsum Gardens, to your left is a small bridge and the slate is beside it.
Slate #14:(Moss-Green Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Auresco, Rear Gate
How to find it: Skip travel to Auresco, Rear Gate and instead of heading out and left, to the elevator that will take you down to Torna’s Womb, go right, jump the small wall and follow the path. You will soon run into the slate, where you can see it pictured below:
Tornan Titan Interior Slates:
Slate #15:(Leaden Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Fernyiges, Dark Zone #2
How to find it: Skip travel to Fernyiges, Dark Zone #2, head up the ramp in front of you, as if you’re heading towards Pantarhei Tower and the slate should be to your left, by a monster you can choose to fight, or ignore.
Slate #16:(Inky Slate Piece)
Starting Point: Skygate Entrance
How to find it: Believe it or not, this is one of the easiest of slates to find and one of the easiest to miss. So, skip travel to Skygate Entrance and if you take a look at the image below, just follow the path and you’ll soon come upon, you will have to drop off a small cliff or two, to find it. There is also a chest in the area.
As for what the slates are for, they will enable you to break the seal at Cavern of the Seal, where you will come upon an area called Tasteless Altar. Not only are there chests here, but there is a Nopon who will allow you to go off hunting Golden Monsters, which are essentially Super Bosses.
