A new update for Pokémon GO has begun to roll out and while it is nothing major, it does amend a couple of known android issues and text fixes. Here’s the official write-up:

Following its release half way through the year, App Annie reports that Pokémon GO amassed over $950 million dollars, a sum that saw Pokémon GO take the No.3 spot for apps that made the most revenue in 2016. Quite the achievement indeed, but today’s news doesn’t stop there because a new update is on its way. Granted it’s nothing special, but it’s still an update nonetheless:

 

Pokémon GO updated to version 0.55.0 for Android and 1.25.0 for iOS:

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.55.0 for Android and 1.25.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

  • Reduced the starting load time on Android devices.
  • Resolved Android connectivity issues for the Pokémon GO Plus accessory.
  • Integrated iOS wheelchair support for use with Apple Watch.
  • Minor text fixes.
