Following on from yesterday’s news that the Fire Emblem Fates manga is now on hold/cancelled, we’ve got some more manga news for you.

While the main manga based on Fates is currently no longer in the works, there is in fact a Fire Emblem Fates manga series drawn by Tama Yugyōji. Entitled: Fire Emblem if: Nibelung no Hōkan (Fire Emblem Fates: Crown of Nibelung), which casts Leo as the main protagonist. The first instalment of this series is set to debut in the March issue of Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero Sum, which actually comes out on the 28th of January.

So at the very least, even if the main Fates manga never sees the light of day, there is one Fates manga that will, only there’s been no mention of it getting an English translation later on down the line, so until it does, we’ll all just have to learn Japanese in the meantime and read whatever we’re able to get our hands on.
