*UPDATE (16/12/16): Super Mario Run is now also the top grossing iPhone app for the United States and the United Kingdom.
Super Mario Run hasn’t even been out for 24 hours and already the running game is off to a great start.
In the States, Super Mario Run is the 7th top-grossing app, whereas in the UK, it sits in 2nd place, just behind Pokémon GO, but with it being the “top downloaded” in 62 countries, it did take the #1 top grossing spot in a couple of countries. Countries such as Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala and even the Netherlands.
It is expected we will see Super Mario Run reach the same level of success in several more countries in the coming days/hours.
