Year-long event offering exclusive immersive Pikachu ex and more begins today!

A lengthy celebration of the Pokémon TCG’s 30th anniversary is now live in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The Pika Pika! Pikachu Missions event began on October 20, 2026 and will continue all the way through to October 20, 2027, giving players a full year to take part.

The main reward for consistent participation is a special immersive Pikachu ex card that can only be obtained during this event. Players simply need to log in for a total of ten days across the year-long period to claim it. This is a relatively low barrier that rewards regular play rather than heavy spending or perfect attendance every single day.

In addition to the exclusive immersive card, the event offers Pika Pika! Pikachu Packs that contain a variety of Pikachu cards, along with new accessories themed around the anniversary. These rewards sit alongside the wider second-anniversary activities that will run in conjunction with the launch of the Dual Fusion expansion on October 28, 2026 at 18:00 PDT (October 29, 2026 at 01:00 UK time).

Because the missions last an entire year, there is no need to rush. Players who prefer a more relaxed approach can simply log in when convenient and still complete the requirements without missing out. This makes the event particularly accessible for those who do not play every day but still want to collect the anniversary rewards.

The timing also works well with the upcoming Dual Fusion launch. While many players will be focused on the new dual-type cards and Special Packs in late October and November, the Pika Pika! Pikachu Missions provide a steady, long-term goal that continues well beyond the initial excitement of the new expansion.

Overall, this is a straightforward and player-friendly event. It celebrates a major milestone for the Pokémon TCG without demanding constant attention, and the exclusive immersive Pikachu ex should prove a popular addition to many collections over the coming months.
