Nintendo and Illumination have published a new trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It was aired during a special Nintendo Direct that premiered on Nintendo’s respective YouTube Channels on Sunday 25th of January. The trailer itself was only a couple of minutes long but the direct was fleshed out a bit with an introduction by Shigeru Miyamoto and a few words from Chris Meledandri, the film’s director.
In the trailer, we got a first official look at Yoshi who looks absolutely adorable and by judging on the trailer, may be playing a big role in the film as We see Mario and Luigi in their baby forms. Birdo was also revealed and was seen fighting Princess Peach as she fired eggs at her with her snout.
Overall, the new Super Mario Galaxy trailer was short but sweet and certainly left us wanting more. We can’t wait to see the film in cinemas when it releases on April 1st, 2026. Only a few months to go, Wa-hoo!
