amiibo lives!
Following the reveal of a brand-new top-down Zelda game, it has come to light that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will support amiibo. Nothing of this nature was said during the game’s segment in the latest Nintendo Direct, but when visiting the game’s Japanese listing on Nintendo, amiibo support is listed.
With it heavily believed that Grezzo are behind this new adventure, as they developed 2019’s The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and both games use the same art style, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Echoes of Wisdom could support amiibo as Link’s Awakening did and that Nintendo released an amiibo based on Link’s appearance from Link’s Awakening.
If this is the case that Echoes of Wisdom will utilise amiibo, it is a case of waiting for further news to learn in what capacity amiibo will serve this time around and see if Nintendo will announce a new Zelda amiibo based on her design in the upcoming Zelda game, as our humble Princess does not appear in Link’s Awakening.
