WASD Live 2024 is over and the doors are closed until the next event, but the fun is far from over. With many games played and lots of developers and publishers to speak to, in today’s Best of, we’re putting the spotlight on Lumi: Starbound Adventure:

Easily one of the visually stunning titles at WASD Live 2024, developed and soon to be published by Dreaming Giants, Lumi: Starbound Adventure is an upcoming 3D platformer that you don’t want to miss out on.
I didn’t even need to play this game to know that I needed it as seeing it in action, waiting my turn, was already enough to convince me, but to then sit down with it and begin playing, all I can say is “Wow.”
As the titular character, Lumi: Starbound Adventure is the story of Lumi, our noble heroine who must traverse exotic worlds and environments, all whilst doing all that she can to prevent an imminent invasion and defy the evil that comes with it. Thankfully, Lumi won’t have to go it alone though, for she is joined by Athena, a celestial being who takes on the form of a gauntlet, capable of speech, which when used by Lumi, can be used to manipulate floating platforms and more, all whilst the pair and their growing bond, seek out pieces of the Sentinel’s sword that have been scattered across five worlds.
With upbeat, charming music that is downright majestic and accompanies Lumi: Starbound Adventure perfectly, Lumi is more than just another indie game. It is an experience that demands being experienced and there is simply far too much fun to be had with this action-adventure platform, to let it go ignored. It is a shame that Lumi: Starbound Adventure hasn’t been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch yet, but one can still hope and if not, there is always Steam.
