Hot on the heels of The Legend of Zelda Live-Action movie announcement by Nintendo, Zelda Fan and animator RwanLink has published an adorable Studio Ghibli-style animation based on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. However, the release of the animation soon after the official movie announcement is pure coincidence as RwanLink’s project has been in the works for months, as anyone who has been following him would know.
In fact, the release of the animation was to actually coincide with the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 earlier this week. The animation is brilliantly done with a beautiful art style and so many callbacks and Easter eggs to the N64 game and other titles in the series.
