Nintendo has released its quarterly earnings as of March 31, 2023. With this, we are able to see the updated figures for Nintendo Switch hardware and software. Nintendo Switch hardware sales are now going into steady decline after having sold 3.07 million units last quarter, bringing lifetime sales up to 125.62 million units.

As for software sales, Nintendo has published around 62 titles for the Nintendo Switch since its launch in 2017, and total sales have surpassed a whopping 1,036.15 billion units sold.

With hardware sales now starting to slope off, it will be interesting to see if the sales of the Nintendo Switch OLED Model – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition will help increase sales enough for Switch to make it over 130 million units. As for Software sales, Nintendo only has two more games on the schedule that have been previously announced; Pikmin 4 and Metroid Prime 4 (not counting Zelda: TotK as that will release this week). As for what will come after those titles, we will have to see if Nintendo announces anything later on in the year.
