Fire Emblem Engage is out now and it has certainly proved to be an engaging title. With more than 30 characters to recruit to the Divine Dragon’s army, there are plenty of questions one must ask themself. “Who are the best pairings for each Emblem?”“Which is the best class for said unit?” and “once I’ve obtained the Pact Ring, who is the best character I should give it to?”
It is the last question we will be attempting to answer in this article, but first, we need to go over what the Pact Ring even is, where to get it and how to use it.
Section 1: What is the Pact Ring?
The Pact Ring is a special item you can only obtain once during your playthrough of Fire Emblem Engage. Instead of being another Emblem Ring, which allows you to summon an Emblem based on a previous Fire Emblem hero, the Pact Ring is a ring that allows players to increase their Support bond with one specific character of your chosing. It can only be used on a character you have already attained A rank support with.
Section 2: How to Obtain the Pact Ring?
The Pact Ring is an item that you can only obtain once you have reached Chapter 23: The Four Hounds. It is not from clearing Chapter 23 you get it, but by clearing the additional map, Garden of Memories. Depending on how your team is set up, the level will either be a cake-walk or a nightmare. Be sure to come prepared.
Section 3: Where to Find the Pact Ring in Somniel
Once you have obtained The Pact Ring from Garden of Memories, instead of being an item always carried on Alear’s person, it resides in the small desk drawer in Alear’s room. By interacting with the desk now, Alear can take the ring and is then free to interact with the player’s preferred character to use it. Should you leave Somniel and head off into battle, the Pact Ring will return to the small desk drawer in Alear’s room.
Section 4: How to Use the Pact Ring
As long as you have the ring in your possession, are in the Somniel and have attained A rank support with your favourite characters, there will now be a yellow speech bubble above their head. Simply speak with your desired unit and chose the Pact Ring option and a special support conversation will occur. Once its finished, the bond level between Alear and your preferred character will be increased and your Support rank will be changed to a ring.
Section 5: Benifits of Using the Pact Ring
Not only does it increase the Support rank between Alear and your desired unit, it will increase their bond rank, giving you extra benifits when in battle, but it also adds a new page to your Ally Notebook, based on the character you chose. Using the Pact Ring also complete’s one of the many in-game achievements and you also get to see a very special illustration and for a complete breakdown to every character you can attain Ring rank with, we have a whole host of images available in the sections below:
