A new king has risen…

Released back in 1988, Mega Man 2 went on to sell 1.51 million copies worldwide, cementing itself as the best-selling entry in the entire Mega Man series. Of course, at the time, the series only consisted of two entries and yet, in the decades that have followed since, Mega Man 2 continued to hold its own, until now.

Capcom has provided an updated look at their Platinum Titles, based on sales ending on September 30, 2022 and Mega Man 11 has been revealed to be have sold 1.60 million units across all available platforms. As a game that released back in 2018, with Mega Man 10 releasing in 2010, its great to see the long-awaited sequel perform as well as it has, especially if it helps to make a Mega Man 12 a reality, sooner rather than later.

For anyone reading this who has yet to try out Mega Man 11, there is a demo available with some game information available here:

About Mega Man 11:

This entry in this iconic series blends classic, challenging 2D platforming action with a fresh look. The stunning visual style refreshes the series’ iconic colorfulness, combining hand-drawn environments with detailed, 3D character models.

To save the day, the Blue Bomber must battle Robot Masters and take their powerful weapons for himself, which now changes the hero’s appearance with added levels of detail. The innovative Double Gear system lets you boost Mega Man’s speed and power for an exciting twist on the satisfying gameplay the series is known for.

A variety of difficulty modes makes this the perfect opportunity to experience Mega Man for the first time!
