Capcom has recently announced that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has shipped over 1,5 million copies. The announcement can in the form of a tweet on Twitter and was accompanied with some commemorative artwork featuring Kyle and Tsukino.

While 1,5 million may seem small in comparison to Monster Hunter Rise’s 8+ million, this is still an incredible feat for the spin-off series that has players ride and fight alongside monsters to fight other monsters. If you look to the other side of the spectrum, MHS2 is a huge success compared to its prequel on the 3DS which only sold 309,465 units according to the Video Game Sales wiki.

What are your thoughts on Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin? Are you still enjoying the game? Do you hope that Capcom’s commemoration of the game’s milestone may lead to more updates in the near future? Do let us know in the comments.
