Just when you thought Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was officially done with when the final fighter, Sora, was added to the game, a new spirit event has come to the game. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter, a new “Street Fighter Turns 35!” spirit event will be held this weekend. It will feature all the Street Fighter Spirits that are available in-game on the Spirit Board as well as an all-new “Evil Ryu” spirit to unlock.
This news was brought to our attention via the @SmashBrosJP twitter account and the full information as to when the spirit event will go live and which spirits are available were shared through the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in-game notification.

The Street Fighter Turns 35! Spirit Event will go live on January 14th from 07:00 CET until January 19th 07:00 CET. During the event, players can earn more gold than usual.
Evil Ryu will be a timed Spirit during the event and will be available at the following times:
GMT: 02:00 – 06:00 – 10:00 – 14:00 – 18:00 – 22:00
CET: 03:00 – 07:00 – 11:00 – 15:00 – 19:00 – 23:00
PT: 18:00 – 22:00 – 02:00 – 06:00 – 10:00 – 24:00
ET: 01:00 – 05:00 – 09:00 – 13:00 – 17:00 – 21:00
