Retro psychological horror game Chasing Static is making its way to Nintendo Switch later this year. Developed by Hardware Games and being published by Ratalaika Games, Chasing Static takes players through an old-school horror experience through the dark woods and abandoned research facilities hidden in the North Wales countryside.
The game was revealed during Realms Deep 2021 with an announcement trailer and is slated for a Q3 2021 release on Nintendo Switch, as well as other consoles and PC.
You can watch the trailer for Chasing Static below.
- Explore the dark woods, decrepit ruins, and sinister government research facilities tucked away in the forests of rural North Wales.
- Experience the high-fidelity audio quality and voice-acting of a modern horror title, but in a graphical style that harkens back to the days of old school PlayStation 1 and 2 horror classics.
- Wield a strange, static-laden device capable of picking up the conversations of lost souls to solve brain-teasing puzzles..
- Piece together a generation-spanning conspiracy intertwining family, spectral terror, and secrets the government never wanted to escape.
