Southern Spain’s largest gaming event Gamepolis is being reinvented this year to adhere to the current sanitary and health regulations surrounding COVID-19. The Malaga-based event is aptly named ROAD TO GAMEPOLIS and is to serve as a pitstop towards the main event that will now be held next year.
ROAD TO GAMEPOLIS will still have the essence of Gamepolis with play areas, Tournaments, live music, play area, video game training booths and more. It will take place in an open air location at the EVAD Technological Campus as well as in the facilities of La Fábrica del Videojuego located in Calle Marea Baja 3 in Malaga. The event will be held from July 23-25 and will have limited visitor capacity.

Dear friends of Gamepolis,
First of all, we want to thank the support and enthusiasm received throughout these months of waiting, sacrifice and, in many cases, loss.
From the Gamepolis organization we have been working for months and studying all the possible options to be able to bring you back an unparalleled video game party. Gamepolis has been, since its first edition in 2013, the meeting place for tens of thousands of video game lovers in all its forms and we want it to continue to be so.
But we don’t want another year to go by without a celebration of the video game world! So this summer we bring you ROAD TO GAMEPOLIS, the well-known stop prior to Gamepolis where you will enjoy all its essence and fun, but with a limited capacity adjusted to current sanitary measures.
Road to gamepolis will be held on July 23, 24 and 25 in a very special place, the EVAD Technological Campus where we will have outdoor spaces and also in the facilities of La Fábrica del Videojuego located in Calle Marea Baja 3 in Malaga .
What will you find in Road to Gamepolis? You can enjoy gaming news, competitions, concerts, free play areas, food trucks, video game training workshops, conferences and much more! In the next few days we will reveal the program of activities.
In addition, the entrance to the event will be symbolic of solidarity and will be destined 100% to the Association Superhéroes Un Niño Una Sonrisa, whose main objective is to visit children hospitalized in the Maternal and Child Hospital of Malaga, in addition to many other hospitals and locations.
Unfortunately, current conditions do not allow us to celebrate Gamepolis as we know it. That is why we have decided that the only viable option is to postpone the celebration of the festival until next year. This decision has not been easy since, until the last moment, we have maintained the hope that the current health situation will improve so as to once again hold an event of the size and scope of Gamepolis at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga.
Gamepolis will return on July 22, 23 and 24, 2022 at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga with an eighth edition in a big way that promises to be the biggest Video Game party in southern Europe once again.
