More unfortunate news in the gaming event world. The London based indie gaming event EGX Rezzed has finally been cancelled for this year. It was postponed from its original Venue date back in March to be held in July due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe and the UK. With the severity of the situation and half the world now in Lockdown, the event has ultimately been cancelled.
The event organizers, ReedPop and Gamer Network have issued a statement regarding the cancellation and stated that those with tickets to the event will be automatically upgraded for EGX 2020 that is being held in September. Those who would prefer a refund can do so by getting in touch with the EGX helpline (email down below in statement).

EGX Rezzed 2020 Cancelled
Today Gamer Network and ReedPOP announce that EGX: Rezzed 2020, scheduled to take place at Tobacco Dock, London, from 2 to 4 July will be cancelled following the escalation of COVID-19 in the UK, Europe and globally.
The effects, actual and projected, of Coronavirus are becoming evident across all aspects of our lives here in the UK and across the world, with many of our exhibitors and creators facing travel restrictions and quarantine measures. After extensive discussions with all the relevant public health, local and national authorities, and with our Rezzed partners, we have taken the decision not to go ahead with this year’s event.
We thank everyone who has prepared to deliver what promised to be a fantastic event over the past year, showcasing the best of indie gaming to the incredible Rezzed community.
Our flagship event EGX is currently scheduled to run 17-20 September 2020 and all Rezzed tickets have automatically been upgraded to this September event. Rezzed ticket holders are entitled to a full refund should they prefer, and simply need email firstname.lastname@example.org with their order number and our Customer Services team will process their refund.
We are planning for EGX: Rezzed to return, better than ever, in 2021.
