Pokémon Masters may have just launched, but the mobile game is not pulling its punches as the first Story event has already been revealed and there is very little time to prepare for it. But don’t worry, that’s precisely what this Story Event: Reach for the Top guide is for!

What is a Story Event? (General Explanation)

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a Story event is, especially in Pokémon Masters, they’re a special type of mission that a lot of the time, pairs you up with a brand new Sync Pair and allows you to take part in special story segments.

Story events will allow you to team up with Sync Pairs you may not have met yet via the Main Story! These events will often offer special event challenges for additional rewards and items. Not to mention, bonus gems used for Sync Pair scout!

What is Reach for the Top?

Reach for the Top is the first event to take place in Pokémon Masters! It is a limited time Story event that will allow you to team up with new Sync Pairs. This first event, will feature the Pokémon trainer Blue. Special story chapters will be available and you will team up with sync pairs you may of not unlocked yet!

When does Reach for the Top Begin?

Are there any Prerequisites I need to be aware of for Reach for the Top?

It is expected that you will need to complete Chapter 5 of the Main Story in order to unlock the “Events” sub category.

Is there anything I should do in the meantime to prepare for Reach for the Top?

As mentioned above, it’s expected you will need to finish up to Chapter 5 in order to unlock Reach for the Top. In the meantime, you should level up and train your different Sync Pairs.  As this is the first event we do not know what will be needed in terms of overall team strength.
