If you have been playing Super Mario Maker 2 online and have checked out your profile, you may have noticed that you can earn medals. These medals are linked to how you rank on the leaderboards for each category but it isn’t as simple as that either. There are minimum requirements that must be met first before you can be worthy of any kind of acknowledgment. Not to worry, this is where our Super Mario Maker 2 Medals Guide should help.
There has been some misinformation going around on how to obtain Medals. Fortunately, a YouTuber by the name of TheBeast721 has found out the answer on how to get the base medal requirement.
We have summarised the requirements below:
- Maker Points – 3500
- Maker Points (Weekly) – 3500
- Number Of Clears – 500
- Number Of First Clears – 300
- World Records – 300
- Multiplayer Versus – 3000 (‘A’ Rank)
- Endless Challenge (Easy) – 300
- Endless Challenge (Normal) – 200
- Endless Challenge (Expert) – 50
- Endless Challenge (Super Expert) – 10
Once you meet the minimum requirements, the medal you receive will be based on your ranking. It is also worth noting that should you slip rank on the leaderboards in any category, you may lose your medal.
#1 = Gold Ribbon
#2 = Silver Ribbon
#3 = Bronze Ribbon
#4 – 100 = Gold
#101 – 2,000 = Silver
#2,001 – 10,000 = Bronze
While I have yet to obtain any medals for myself. I am currently working my way through and will hopefully be able to reconfirm that the above information is true. If you have found that it is true or not, please let us know in the comments below so we can correct it.Tags: Gaming, Guide, Nintendo, Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Maker 2, Super Mario Maker 2 Medal Guide
