Phantom Trigger slices its way onto PC and Nintendo Switch next week:

(‘Giant Consequences’ abound in second episode of ‘Season Two’ August 15. ‘Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure’ arrives on Nintendo Switch August 22)

Two years ago we released Divide By Sheep, a dark humor mobile game created by Bread Team — a duo of game developers that lived on the Ukrainian/Russian near Donetsk, on opposite sides of the border. The game did very well on mobile, and currently holds a 95% positive rating on Steam. I loved working with the team, and we immediately started a Game #2. That game is now Phantom Trigger, and it’s coming out next week.

To say that the development of the game was difficult is an understatement. Aside from a much bigger scope than the first game, war broke out in the region. Victor, the game’s programmer, moved his family to East Ukraine mid-development. While Denis, the artist, moved to Saint Petersburg. I’ve been working with them and supporting through the whole process, acting as a producer.

About Phantom Trigger:

Phantom Trigger is a Hardcore Neon Slasher with RPG elements. Figure out what’s real as you follow the story of Stan on a journey through surreal and twisted worlds.

Stan is losing control. The phantom realm brings arcane hexes into a pulsing neon reality, where demons fight in packs and use every trick they have to break your defense. Throw spells and traps mid-combo, ride the edge of control and chaos in this fresh take on action combat. You are your own worst enemy in Phantom Trigger.

You play as Stan, a white-collar middle-class worker living an ordinary life that gets disrupted by a mysterious event. Discover a brand new world and connect the dots along a branching story through neon-demonic worlds. Phantom Trigger has 4 alternate endings.

Merging elements from slasher and RPG genres, Phantom Trigger takes a rich combo system and builds on it, with trapping and freezing enemies, herding groups, burning bosses and dashing from one combo to the next.

Branching story with 4 alternative endings.

5 Distinct Worlds to explore.

Estimated 7+ hours of gameplay.

A deep combat system focusing on unlocking combos and upgrading weapons.

Local Co-Op.
