Straight from the official Japanese Nintendo website, details regarding the functionality for Alm and Celica amiibo have been revealed and like it was previously leaked, they do in fact unlock an original dungeon but that’s not all. They can also be used for players to write data for each character on.
Also by using the Alm and Celica amiibo summoning command in battle, Phantom Soldiers will then appear, but the appearance will differ depending on which amiibo you use to summon them. As for the stats for the Phantom Soldier that is based on the data written on the amiibo if it has been used previously.
Lastly, Echoes will allow you to scan other amiibo and cards by using the Mila’s Gear feature on the World Map.
