First released in April 2001 for the Nintendo 64 Dōbutsu no Mori would go on to get an enhanced port for the Nintendo GameCube and localised releases in the likes of Europe and North America, becoming the social simulation game we know as Animal Crossing.

In celebration of the series’ 25th anniversary, tracks from Animal Crossing were added to Nintendo Music in the early hours of April 14, 2026. 158 tracks were added with a combined runtime of 5 hours and 18 minutes. Of the 158 tracks, 144 are extendable for longer listening sessions.

In 2015, when rumours of the NX and Zelda U were everywhere, my brother and I started Miketendo64 and we've been running it ever since. As the Editor-in-Chief, I have attended video gaming events in three different countries, been to preview events, and penned more than 4,000 articles to date, ranging from news, to features, reviews, interviews and guides. I love gaming and I love all things Nintendo. I also love Networking, so don't be afaid to reach out.
