The Wii U really is no more. Nintendo have already confirmed first party support for the console ends with Breath of the Wild, and that production would be ending soon, but now that day has come. On the official nintendo.co.jp site Nintendo have confirmed production of Wii U in their home territory has official drawn to the close.

 

May you rest in Peace Wii U.

 

You may not have been a great seller, but you did have some great games that I will continue to cherish throughout the forthcoming Switch era.
