With more and more planned Wii U games being cancelled, due to technical difficulties, all is not lost for the Wii U.

Having spoken to the guys over at Ratalaika Games, they have confirmed that Plantera is in fact still planned for the Wii U and while they are unable to comment on a release date, they were able to confirm some other details. Firstly the 3DS version of Plantera has passed QA, whereas they are still waiting to hear back on the Wii U version, but it “should be sometime this week.” Secondly a new trailer Plantera has been approved and uploaded onto YouTube, and if you haven’t yet, you can see it right here:

Lastly, Ratalaika Games have also confirmed that at this current moment in time, they will continue to support the Wii U through to March, in the form of Plantera’s Wii U (and 3DS) release, and updates for both Wii U and 3DS versions of Blasting Agent and Defend Your Crypt.

    1. Indeed. In fact all this cancellations is a grave mistake for indie devs. A new editorial we’re working on will explain why.
