If you watched the entire Nintendo Direct on the 1st of September, you might recall seeing a game called Punch Club.

Developed by Lazy Bear Games and published by tinyBuild Games, Punch Club was stated to release on the Nintendo 3DS sometime in October. Well if you pay a visit to the Punch Club page on the Nintendo website, or even the Wikipedia page for the game, you’ll see for yourself that the release date is still listed as being October, but no release has happened. In fact there’s been almost no news on this whatsoever, almost.

We actually interviewed tinyBuild Games this month and having spoken to Alex Nichiporchik, the CEO of tinyBuild Games, we asked if the release is still set to happen this month and this is what Alex had to say, but to spare any confusion, we included our question as well:

Miketendo64:How is progress on the 3DS port going and is an October release still on the cards?

Alex Nichiporchik:We can’t say for sure, it will more likely be somewhere in Q4.

From the moment Alex told us that, we had a feeling “somewhere in Q4” would wind up becoming true and guess what? It is and that is why you haven’t seen Punch Club arrive to the eShop this month. So if you didn’t know before, at least you do now.
