NEW RELEASE | Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is Available Now on Nintendo Switch 2

The motion-controlled sports collection returns to Wuhu Island today!

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort has officially launched today, October 22, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Developed and published by Nintendo, this sequel to Nintendo Switch Sports brings players back to Wuhu Island for a fresh collection of twelve motion-controlled sports that mix returning favourites with brand-new additions.

The game centres around Spocco Resort on Wuhu Island, where you can compete in Archery, Basketball, Bowling, Boxing, Golf, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Power Cruising, Prop Plane, Skateboarding and Thumb Wrestling. New sports such as Thumb Wrestling and Skateboarding make full use of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, including mouse-style controls for skating and precise tilting for flying and cruising. Players can create and customise Sportsmates or Mii characters, explore the island freely, take on Island Crown challenges, and jump into both local multiplayer and online modes (Nintendo Switch Online membership required for online play).

Whether you’re warming up with Jump Rope, grinding rails in Skateboarding, or battling for the Island Crown, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is built for quick pick-up-and-play sessions with family and friends, as well as longer competitive runs. The full game is available digitally on the Nintendo eShop right now, with a physical edition and a Nintendo Switch 2 console bundle also launching today.
