Even more Ninja Gaiden!
On September 2, 2026, a new update for the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics application on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, added IKARI WARRIORS, Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom, and R.C. PRO-AM II. For a quick reminder of what each game entails, here are the official Nintendo Switch Online descriptions and associated trailer:
IKARI WARRIORS (SNK)

Fight against a relentless onslaught of enemies!
In this action shooter released for the Nintendo Entertainment System™ in 1987, you’ll infiltrate the enemy base as warriors Paul and Vince to destroy an evil nation. But watch out! You have limited ammo to deploy against hordes of enemies.
Resupply with ammo dropped by enemies, take advantage of power-up items, and pilot tanks and helicopters to barrel through the enemy base.
Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom (KOEI TECMO GAMES)

The challenge is greater, the tracks are faster, and your opponents are better than ever in this 1992 sequel to the classic RC-racing game on the NES™ console! Collect items around the track to increase your car’s performance and avoid obstacles that will make you crash and burn! Between races, you can use cash prizes collected from races to upgrade your pro-am racer by purchasing parts and other specialty items in the R.C. MODEL SHOP. There are also two bonus games that give you the chance to win additional cash prizes and championship points: TUG O’ TRUCK CHALLENGE and THE DRAG RACE!

Rewind your game — Do-overs are built in! You can rewind your game by pressing and holding ZL + ZR if you make a mistake or just want to retry a section.
Play together locally* or online — Connect with friends online and share your screen for co-op or competitive play. Select a 1- or 2-player mode and go. In single-player games, you can take turns at the controls.
Pick your style — When playing online, you can display a hand-shaped cursor on your friend’s screen. Use it to give hints or point out strategic locations. You can even clap to congratulate them.
Voice chat — You can use voice chat in these games via the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app. It’s the next best thing to hanging out together.
