A Bright Future Awaits!

With Pitch Black (PBL) releasing next month on July 17, 2026, The Pokémon Company has revealed the next Pokémon TCG expansion.

Previously teased earlier this year, the new set is titled 30th Celebration — a special expansion dedicated to commemorating 30 years of Pokémon.

A new trailer was shared, along with a first look at several cards from the set, which will release worldwide on September 16, 2026. Each pack will contain five foil cards, one foil Basic Energy card, and one Pokémon TCG Live code card.

Interestingly, every pack is guaranteed to contain one of 30 unique foil Pikachu cards. The set will also introduce a brand-new rarity called Futuristic Rare, featuring striking artwork that evokes “hope toward an unknown future.”

Finally, none of the cards from 30th Celebration will be legal in the Standard format, but they will be eligible in formats that allow the original prints of these cards.
