About Byleth:

The Ring of the Instructor is an artifact that has been passed down on the continent of Elyos. Within it dwells the Emblem Byleth, a professor at the Officers Academy who guided a number of students to greater things!

Though the Ring of the Instructor was kept in the holy land of Lythos, it was seized by the kingdom of Elusia, and taken by Hortensia, the kingdom’s second princess.

Hortensia used the power of the Fell Dragon to summon Byleth and attack the queendom of Solm, but was thwarted by Alear, a Divine Dragon.

Afterward, it was Alear’s Divine Dragon power that summoned Byleth to teach and guide once again!

Closely Associated Characters:

  • Alear — Successor to the Divine Dragon, awoken from a long sleep. Summons Corrin and the other Emblems to lead the world to peace.
  • Lumera — Divine Dragon Monarch, ruler of the holy land of Lythos. She is Alear’s mother and the hero who once saved all of Elyos with the aid of Corrin and the other Emblems.
  • Hortensia — Second princess of Elusia and Ivy’s younger sister. Though selfish, she loves her family and all of those close to her. Takes the ring in which Byleth’s Emblem dwells.
