With no new expansion in November, this December brings an end to the draught when Pokémon TCG Pocket adds the all-new Crimson Blaze expansion. Mega Charizard Y bursts into the new Crimson Blaze-themed booster pack, coming soon to the Pokémon TCG: Pocket Edition
London, December 11, 2025. The Pokémon Company Group announced today that the popular Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game will soon be adding new Crimson Blaze-themed booster packs, available starting December 17, 2025. This update follows the announcement earlier this month at Apple’s App Store Awards 2025 that the Pokémon Pocket Trading Card Game won the “iPhone Game of the Year” award for entertaining fans around the world by reinventing the way they collect cards.
New Crimson Flames-themed booster pack: The arrival of the Crimson Flames expansion marks the debut of beloved Mega-Evolved Pokémon such as Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Blastoise in the Pokémon TCG Pocket as Pokémon-former Mega Evolutions. In addition to new Pokémon, players will also be treated to a variety of new cards featuring science lab-themed artwork to collect. Cards can be obtained by opening booster packs or through the Mystery Draw feature in the app. A new trailer previewing the Crimson Blaze-themed booster packs is available on the official Pokémon YouTube channel .
Upcoming Events: In addition to the Crimson Blaze-themed booster packs, the following events will soon be available in the app:
Holiday Sale (December 25, 6:00 UTC to January 8, 5:59 UTC): During the holidays, Holiday Event Quests will be available for rewards.
Mareep Bonus Event (January 1, 6:00 UTC to January 11, 5:59 UTC): By participating in special CPU battles, you can earn promo packs (Series B, Vol. 2).
Mystery Draw Event (January 9, 6:00 UTC to January 19, 5:59 UTC): Promotional cards featuring Heliolisk and Buneary will appear in the Mystery Draw. During this event, quests will also be available that will allow players to earn an Event Store Voucher that can be exchanged for a promotional card in the store.
Mega Latios-ex Bonus Event (January 17, 06:00 UTC to January 27, 05:59 UTC): By participating in special CPU battles, you can earn promo packs (Series B, Vol. 3).
