The ultimate showdown awaits.

Ahead of this weekend’s Drag x Drive: Global Jam, Nintendo has revealed via the Nintendo Today! app that development team members will also be taking part in the Global Jam. Nintendo doesn’t expect players to be able to match the dev team’s abilities just yet, but with practice, “you’ll be speeding around the court and dunking with the best of them.”

Nintendo has also revealed that those participating in the Global Jam will earn 100 Platinum Points and an exclusive icon. For a quick reminder as to what the timings are for the Global Jam, we have it all right here:

About Drag x Drive:

The next generation of 3-on-3 sports is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 system! — Two hands are using Joy-Con 2 controllers like a mouse.

Hold each Joy-Con™ 2 controller like a mouse for tight control of both your wheels as you speed around the court.

Raise your hand and flick your wrist to shoot…and score!

Team up with—or take on—friends and other players from near and far online* in fast-paced 3-on-3 matches.

  • Drive – Slide both controllers forward to move in that direction.
  • Turn – Only slide one controller to pivot.
  • Shoot – Raise one hand and gently flick your wrist forward to shoot.
  • Tricks – Use the half-pipe to fly into the air and perform tricks and dunks.

Get ready for a whole new ballgame.
