Over on the official Nintendo Japan website, they have shared some new images for the layout of the Nintendo Switch Online app on Nintendo Switch 2. Overall, it is not too disimilar to what we already have on Nintendo Switch, but there are some noticeable changes that make the new version look much more presentable. I particularly like the design of the new profile screen and how the classic games on NSO are displayed.

Just like on Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch Online app is accessible on the home screen of the Nintendo Switch 2, and it looks like the home screen itself has been given some new icons which, includes the Game Chat menu, Game Library, and what could be an icon for downloads. The game icons themselves have also been given rounded corners, as can be seen in the image gallery below.

The launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 is not that far away now, and we are really looking forward to playing Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond on the brand new console. The inclusion of Gamecube games being added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch 2 has us particularly excited as there are a lot of classic and iconic games on the system that we never had a chance to play before like Soul Calibre 2, Luigi’s Mansion and Super Mario Strikers.

What are your thoughts on the design of the Nintendo Switch Online app for Nintendo Switch 2? Let us know in the comments.
