Get ready for the Summer of Fun!
Now that Sceptile’s (#254) reign in 7-Star Tera raids is over in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, The Pokémon Company has started to share details on what players can expect next and, in all honesty, it’s a lot. From July 12, 2024 to September 1, 2024, The Pokémon Company has announced a Four Part Seasonal event, full of 7-Star Tera raids and Mass Outbreaks.
From the return of a Water Tera type Pikachu, to a Normal Tera type Dragonite and Water Tera type Dondozo making their debut in raids, the Mass OOutbreaks are not something you will want to miss either as the first one adds the chance to catch a shiny Alolan Raichu, which can not be caught during normal gameplay. There is also a later Mass Outbreak that adds shiny Hisuian Sliggoo as well.

Coming Soon: Special Tera Raid Battles and Mass Outbreaks in Four Seasonal Events!

Face Pokémon with the Mightiest Mark and Look for Shiny Pokémon Soon! – Get ready for a four-part series of seasonal events featuring special Tera Raid Battles and mass outbreaks from Friday, July 12, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.
Throughout the season, you’ll be able to challenge Tera Pokémon with the Mightiest Mark, encounter Pokémon that don’t normally appear during regular gameplay, and enjoy mass outbreaks where Pokémon that are Shiny or have special marks are more likely to appear!
Details for each event will be announced as they become available. For now, get an overview of each one below:
Part 1: Search for Pikachu and Friends! (Friday, July 12, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 23:59 UTC)
Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark will be making its return to 7-star Tera Raid Battles! The Pikachu appearing during this event has Water as its Tera Туре.
- Note: If you caught this special Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark previously during a Tera Raid Battle event, you cannot catch it again.
During this event, look for mass outbreaks of Pichu throughout Paldea, mass outbreaks of Pikachu and Mimikyu throughout Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Raichu and Alolan Raichu throughout Blueberry Academy. Alolan Raichu cannot normally be encountered during regular gameplay, and Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks!
Part 2: Order Up Some Fun with Pokémon! (Friday, July 26, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 23:59 UTC)
Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark will be making its 7-star Tera Raid Battle debut! The Dondozo appearing during this event has Water as its Tera Type.
During this event, look for mass outbreaks of Curly Form Tatsugiri throughout Paldea, mass outbreaks of Droopy Form Tatsugiri throughout Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Stretchy Form Tatsugiri throughout Blueberry Academy. Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks!
Part 3: Celebrate the 2024 World Championships! (Friday, August 9, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 23:59 UTC)
Celebrate the 2024 Pokémon World Championships with Pokémon featured in the event’s key art!
Chest Form Gimmighoul will be appearing in 1- to 5-star Tera Raid Battles. These Chest Form Gimmighoul will have various Tera Types. If you challenge one in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle, you’ll have a small chance to encounter a Shiny Chest Form Gimmighoul, which doesn’t normally appear during regular gameplay!
During this event, look for mass outbreaks of Wattrel throughout Paldea, mass outbreaks of Riolu throughout Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Comfey throughout Blueberry Academy. Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks. Pokémon appearing in these special mass outbreaks are also more likely to have the Pumped-Up Mark!
Part 4: Challenge Powerhouse Pokémon! (Friday, August 23, 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 23:59 UTC)
Dragonite with the Mightiest Mark will be appearing for the first time in 7-star Tera Raid Battles! The Dragonite appearing during this event has Normal as its Tera Type.
During this event, look for mass outbreaks of Larvitar and Bagon throughout Paldea, mass outbreaks of Goomy and Hisuian Sliggoo throughout Kitakami, and mass outbreaks of Beldum throughout Blueberry Academy. Hisuian Sliggoo cannot normally be encountered during regular gameplay, and Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks. Pokémon appearing in these special mass outbreaks are also more likely to have the Charismatic Mark!

Welcome to the wide-open world of the Paldea region – Catch, battle, and train Pokémon in the Paldea Region, a vast land filled with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, small towns, and sprawling cities. Explore a wide-open world at your own pace and traverse land, water, and air by riding on a form-shifting Legendary Pokémon—Koraidon in the Pokémon Scarlet game and Miraidon in the Pokémon Violet game. Pick your path – There is no set path on your Paldea adventure, so you can weave freely through three grand stories:
- Victory Road – Along Victory Road, you will challenge Gyms in different locations and aim to achieve Champion Rank.
- Path of Legends – On the Path of Legends, take on gigantic Titan Pokémon that guard rare ingredients.
- ★ Starfall Street ★ – In ★ Starfall Street ★, you’ll use the Auto Battle feature to take on Team Star grunts from your school in order to reach their boss.
Which will you choose?
- SPRIGATITO – The Grass Cat Pokémon – Capricious and attention seeking, it may sulk if it sees its Trainer giving attention to a Pokémon other than itself.
- FUECOCO – The Fire Croc Pokémon – Fuecoco is laid-back and does things at its own pace. It loves to eat, and it will sprint toward any food it finds with a glint in its eye.
- QUAXLY – The Duckling Pokémon – This serious-mannered Pokémon will follow in its Trainer’s wake. It’s tidy, and it especially dislikes getting its head dirty.

- Pokémon HOME – With Pokémon HOME, you can move Pokémon between compatible games, trade Pokémon on the go, and more!
- Poké Portal – Along with series staples, such as trading and battling** Pokémon, you will be able to explore the various locations of the region in these games with other players.
