With Yacht Club Games celebrating the 10th anniversary of their beloved Shovel Knight IP, the developer recently hosted Yacht Club Games Present, a special presentation dedicated to all things Shovel Knight. As part of the presentation, numerous announcements were made in the form of new DLC packs, an update on Mina the Hollower and more.
Before the developer concluded the presentation with news of a new mainline game being in development, they pulled a Playtonic. Much like Playtonic Games announced a remaster of Yooka-Laylee earlier this month with Yooka-Replaylee, Yacht Club Games revealed the game that started it all, Shovel Knight is getting an updated version, with Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope DX now in development for Steam. No other platforms have been mentioned at this time, but Yacht Club Games did have quite a bit to say regarding this enhanced version:
