“All aboard!”

WASD Live 2024 is over and the doors are closed until the next event, but the fun is far from over. With many games played and lots of developers and publishers to speak to, in today’s Best of, we’re putting the spotlight on Set Sail!:

Best of WASD | Set Sail!: (Dragon Scale Studios)

For the fans of nautical hijinks, developed and soon to be published by Dragon Scale Studios, Set Sail! is a game you need to set your sights on. Whether you prefer to go it alone or set out with three friends to make the most out of Set Sail!’s couch co-op, Set Sail! was easily one of the most fun games we played at this year’s WASD Live!

As you would expect from a game called Set Sail!, Set Sail! is a top-down party game with a huge emphasis on all things pirate! So, get ready to captain your vessel, sail the high seas and open fire on anyone who gets in your way, including your allies. It’s friendly fire at its finest and there’s no shortage of treasure to be hoarded to your heat’s content.

No release date has been shared yet, but for anyone eager to give Set Sail! a go now, you can as a demo is available now on Steam, and the demo even had an update back in January that added ninjas and gives players the chance to take on new and updated levels, try out a few of the new customisation options, gain access to new weapons and in-game mechanics, such as PVP Desertion. So what are you waiting for? Set sail on an adventurous party game now?
