WASD Live 2024 is over and the doors are closed until the next event, but the fun is far from over. With many games played and lots of developers and publishers to speak to, in today’s Best of, we’re putting the spotlight on Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines:

Having previously delivered the smash hit that was Grapple Dog, Medallion Games are back at it again, in partnership with publishing label, Super Rare Originals, with a brand-new Grapple Dog game, only this time, Pablo is not on his own.
Taking inspiration from the question of “what if Pablo had a gun?” the gun-toting, anti-hero Luna was born and now she’s right by Pablo’s side to save the day in true fast-paced 2D platformer action! Her gameplay style comes as an interesting contrast to Pablo’s care-free swinging behaviour, but its a welcome addition as our canine friends work together to save the cosmos.
Just like before, players are free to swing at their own pace, but should you wish to truly test your gun-blasting skills, or grappling abilities, there are plenty of collectibles for players to acquire and for those that like to go fast, Time Trial is back but it will certainly put you, Pablo and Luna, all through your paces.
While there is no demo for Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines at this time that can be downloaded on Steam, at least by being a sequel that has expanded on the previous playstyle of its predecssor, the simple fact is, if you played Grapple Dog and enjoyed it, then you’re going to love Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines. It is dissapointing there is no support for local or online co-op, but it’s still a lot of fun nonetheless.
